Equilibrium Strategic Advisory provides independent judgment on the geopolitical, political, regulatory, and security factors that shape how capital performs in Europe and Ukraine.

ESA focuses on which external factors are material to an investment decision, what remains genuinely uncertain, and how those factors interact in practice.

ESA has a particular focus on defence and dual-use technologies investment decisions, where geopolitical, security, regulatory and industrial considerations increasingly intersect. We also support selected work across the energy sector, critical infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.

Founder & Lead Strategic Advisor

Vitalii Rishko

Vitalii Rishko is the Founder and Lead Strategic Advisor at Equilibrium Strategic Advisory. His work focuses on geopolitical, political, regulatory and security risks affecting investment and strategic decisions across Europe and Ukraine, with particular expertise in European security and defence.

Before founding ESA, Vitalii built his professional background across policy research, strategic analysis and international security. His work has included research commissioned by the European Parliament and analysis covering Ukraine, European defence, NATO, geopolitical risk, EU foreign policy and broader questions of European security.

He currently serves as a Peace & Security Fellow at the Global Governance Institute in Brussels and as a Visiting Researcher at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center.

Previously, he served as Coordinator of the Ukraine Programme at the Global Governance Institute and as a Research Fellow at The Hague Research Institute. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Content Writer and Political Analyst covering EU Affairs for The New Global Order.

His research and commentary have addressed European defence, NATO, Ukraine, defence-industrial cooperation, geopolitical risk, the Black Sea region, EU foreign policy and European strategic resilience. He has also provided expert commentary for international media, including TVP World and other media, and delivered guest lectures on NATO and European security at the University of North Florida in the United States.

Vitalii holds an MA in International Security from the University of Groningen and a BA in International Relations.

Yarema Abramyuk

Yarema Abramyuk is a business and international relations professional with experience across consulting, public sector institutions, and high-growth startups, focusing on strategic analysis, operations, and data-driven decision-making.

He holds a Master in Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Groningen.

He is currently gaining operational experience at CarOnSale in inventory operations, contributing to process optimisation within a fast-scaling digital automotive platform. The company has been recognised among the top rising startups in Europe at VivaTech Top 100 Rising Startups of 2026.

Previously, he worked as a Student Consultant, leading a team to develop a data-driven sales funnel, and gained early experience in political analysis and public administration at the Saxon State Parliament and the Honorary Consulate of Germany in Lviv.

Fluent in Ukrainian, German, English, and Russian, he brings a multicultural perspective and a strong interest in the intersection of global affairs, business strategy, and operations.
